'Top Gun 2' Can get Screenwriters

Perfect news for just about any Friday when remakes of 'Footloose' and 'The Thing' are unspooling in the local multiplex: Variety looks at the follow-up for 'Top Gun' you don't always want finds two screenwriters. Ashley Burns and Zack Stentz, a few the six credited authors on 'X-Males: Top Quality,A will handle scripting duties for 'Top Gun 2,' which Jerry Bruckheimer and David Ellison are coming up with. Unsure yet whether Tony Scott and Tom Cruise will participate in the follow-up, but without or together, it seems like Vital is keep using the project.
